Rooted in home and family, fired by a passion for making the finest gelato for miles around, BON & ROSE seeks to bring fresh, simple, authentic gelato and sorbet to a freezer near you.

Bon & Rose Gelato Hampshire Meadow

BON & ROSE grew out of a love of all things gelato & a desire to make our own! Established at The Yard, Chilton Manor Farm (a family owned and run working farm in the heart of Hampshire), gelato was always a staple summer offering for Yard customers, so the next natural step was having a go ourselves. With some help from local government grants, we were able to purchase our own specialist equipment from Italy and started learning the craft in 2024, selling to a loyal, local customer base. We had a fun first season, experimenting with flavours, listening to feedback and working with fresh, seasonal ingredients & local suppliers.

We ran a competition that first summer to name this new enterprise, but in the end, it was our family & farming roots that helped shape our journey, and the name BON & ROSE is as personal as it gets. Two sisters from the current farming generation, Hester & Anna, now lead the gelato enterprise, naming it after their daughters, two of eight cousins in the next generation. We’re proud to be continuing the tradition of women involved in farming & commerce alongside the wider family.
